The courses offered by the school :
1. BASIC COURSE in Bharatanatyam for students of the age 6 years and above.
Postures, Movements, Hand Gestures, Feet Positions, Slokams, Stotrams, Pushpanjali, Thodayam, Alarippu, Jatiswaram, Sabdam, Kavitwam, Thodayamangalam, Thillana – in this order.
2. CERIFICATE COURSE
(MARGAM – I)
Alarippu (variety), Jatiswaram (variety), Sabdam (variety), Varnam, Padam, Keertanam, Thillana (variety), Slokam (variety), Sivashtakam.
(MARGAM – II)
Varnams (variety), Thillanas, Keertanams, Padams, Javalis
3. ADVANCED COURSE
(Only for those who have completed the basic and certificate courses.)
New choreographies, Teacher’s Training..Training for participating in public or stage performance of the Institutes Performing Wing.
CLASSES :
Class of one hour duration is held once a week for each group. The class timings and branch is decided according to the availability of space. Students should bring the text book, fee card and an exercise book everyday to the class. Fee card should be submitted with the teacher prior to the class and taken back before leaving.
The school also provides training to outstation students and their class hours are tailor made depending on the duration of their stay. The school on request helps in finding accommodation also.
TEACHERS :
All teachers are alumni of the institution and are under the supervision of our Director, Dr. Guru Smt. Thankamani Kutty. Requests of preference for any particular teacher is not entertained under any circumstance.
ATTENDANCE & PROGRESS ASSESSMENT :
A minimum of 80% of the classes should be attended every year to achieve the Certificate at the end of the course. Students’ progress is assessed by the teachers and their superiors throughout the training period.
THE ANNUAL PROGRAMME
It is mandatory on the part of a student to participate in the annual festival of the institution as it is an evaluation of their performance. It also gives the parents the opportunity to see their ward’s progress. One should also attend on all the days of the festival and other performances of their peers. Usually annual festival is held at Guru Govindan Kutty Auditorium at Kalamandalam Performing Arts & Research Centre, Golf Gardens.
Students participation in the annual festival is entirely at the discretion of the management.
The school organises an annual programme every year against a fee which has to be paid on announcement. At present the programme fee is Rs. 1000/=. per student to meet the expenses of the festival.
The costume (hire costume available), ornaments (Imitation Jewellery) and anklet bells (Ghungru) as prescribed by the school for the programme.will be charged separately.
ARANGETRAM :

ADMISSIONS :
The last page of this abstract is the admission form. At the time of admission the student should be accompanied by parent/guardian (if candidate is and a minor) and if selected should pay the fees through online ( UPI ) or Bank Transfer which is always on display at the Branch Reception.
Admissions are usually held in January and the forms are distributed during the same time. Admission is strictly at the discretion of the school authorities.

A late fee of Rs.100/= will be charge for every faltering month irrespective of the student’s attendance.
THE UNIFORM
The school prescribes an uniform for a particular batch on the completion of 8 months. Tailor appointed by the school will provide uniforms for the students at a cost. Till then students should wear loose fitting Salwar Kameez along with a Dupatta. No Bells are required for classes. Students should also carry a single lined exercise book and the text book to every class. The school provides drinking water. However, students are being advised to carry their own water bottle to the class.
HOLIDAYS
The school remains closed on :
Republic Day, Saraswati Puja, Doljatra, Bengali New Years Day, May Day, Independence Day, Mahalaya, Kali Puja, Diwali & Bhai Phota and Christmas and New Year.
The summer holidays begin from 2nd week of May and the school re-opens in the 2nd week of June or as will be announced.
The Durga Puja holidays begin from Chaturthi and the school re-opens the day after the Lakshmi Puja or as announced.
The Christmas holidays are from 25th December to 1st January.(Both days inclusive).
However, all are requested to refer to the notice board for the actual holiday dates.
POINTS TO PONDER
This is not a slimming or a physical fitness centre. Only students interested in learning the dance form and understanding the same are expected to enroll.
Practice songs in MP3 Format are given to student through Whatsapp or Pendrive.
Song/Music for programme are also available against a fees. The school also offers assistance by organising or providing recorded music to deserving students for a fee. Students wishing to perform on stage or television should take prior written permission from the Director/Secretary and should be routed through the respective class teacher. Assistance is provided in arranging live music against payment of the required remunerations.
Students missing classes for consecutive 2 classes or more should give written explanation to the class teacher mentioning the cause of leave during re-attendance.
All application to the school should be addressed to the Director/Secretary in duplicate and keep a receipt copy of the same for future reference. All correspondence should have the students Name, Roll No and Contact Number mentioned.
Those students who desire to change their branch, should inform the school at least in writing two months in advance.
Students having fees due above three months consecutively or being absent without notice will have their names struck off the register. To rejoin classes the students should have to be readmitted by paying the admission fees. The student in this case may be asked to join another group as decided by the class teacher.
All are requested to go through the notice board as announcements regarding programmes, reviews and other necessary information for students are displayed regularly.
The school is not bound to provide waiting rooms for parents. Parents are required to maintain silence if they are waiting in the school premises while their children attend class.
A parent should not enter the class room while the class is in progress in any circumstance. They should wait and talk to the teacher at the end of the class with permission of the front office.
