Krishna Nee Begane -  Bharatanatyam                        1+1

 

A very famous song depicting the child Krishna and his foster mother Yasoda. Here we see the little Krishna upto all his pranks while mother Yasoda tries to bathe him and feed him when Little Krishna refuses to listen her she gets angry and raises her hands to beat Krishna. Little Krishna opens his mouth and Yasoda sees the whole world inside little Krishna’s mouth and she realizes that this child is not an ordinary one.

Piya Tora Kaise Abhiman (Mohiniattam)

 

Piya Tora Kaise Abhiman  - a very mesmirising song with lyrics by the great Gulzar and music by Debajyoti Mishra  The lyrics relate to Bhakti Yoga and Krishna’s return to visit his beloved Radha by Mohiniattam dance style is from Kerala.

 

Krishna Shabdam (Kuchipudi)

 

An expressional piece based on Sabda, or word where the dancer performs to a song and introduces mime by Kuchipudi dance style from Andhra Pradesh

 

Tillana Tarangam (Kuchipudi)

 

The Tillana alongwith Tarangam   which is performed on a brass plate with a diameter of 37 cm and inner diameter of 23.5 cm, perform in Kuchipudi Dance Style

 

 

AKASHLINGAM   :  (CHIDAMBARA STUTI)-

In Ragamalika and Talamalika - Bharatanatyam  

 

This song is an exposition of the blissful and cosmic dance of the creator of the universe, whose formless existence is in capitulated in Mantras, the  mysterious spiritual force at Chidambaram. The lord of Gyanam – art, literature, dance and music, with the fire in his hand, he destroys everything he creates. The life cycle revolves around him in a movement of an unending perpetuity. The lord also indicates with his left hand to escape from the vertex of this cycle, of creation and destruction, one has to seek and remain within the confines of his lotus feet.
